Trieste Pizza

Overview

If you find yourself strolling through the charming streets of Rome and craving a meal that encapsulates the essence of Italian cuisine, Trieste Pizza should be at the top of your list. Located at Via Urbana, 112, 00184 Roma RM, Italy, this cozy diner offers an authentic Italian pizza experience that transports you straight to the heart of Italy with every bite.

Trieste Pizza is a place where quality ingredients meet expert craftsmanship, creating a dining experience that feels both welcoming and satisfying. The moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked dough and delicious toppings hits you. The restaurant's interior is rustic yet modern, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it ideal for a casual dinner with friends or a family gathering. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, share great food, and make lasting memories.

One of the standout features of Trieste Pizza is the focus on traditional Italian flavors, with a twist. The pizza menu includes classic options, but what really sets it apart are the unique, seasonal toppings. From the rich, creamy mozzarella to the perfectly charred crust, every pizza is made with a commitment to quality. For instance, the signature Trieste pizza features a combination of rich tomato sauce, fresh basil, and a generous layer of mozzarella that’s perfectly melted and gooey, creating a balance of flavors that leaves you craving more.

The dough is prepared with care, using only the finest flour and ingredients. It’s allowed to rest for the perfect amount of time, ensuring that every pizza comes out light and airy yet with a satisfying crispness. Whether you’re a fan of a thinner crust or prefer something a bit more substantial, Trieste Pizza ensures that each bite is filled with flavor.

What truly shines at Trieste Pizza, however, is the care that goes into the menu. The chefs don't just slap ingredients onto a dough base; instead, they think about the balance of flavors and textures, crafting each pizza to perfection. One of the more popular choices is the “Pizza Bianca,” a white pizza without the classic tomato base, featuring ricotta, garlic, and a sprinkling of rosemary. It’s a refreshing twist on the traditional, offering something for those who enjoy experimenting with new flavors.

Another key element of Trieste Pizza’s appeal is the relaxed, friendly service. The staff is always eager to help you navigate the menu and suggest pairings. They’re happy to share the story behind each dish and make you feel like part of the family, rather than just another customer. It’s that kind of service that enhances the overall experience, making you want to return time and time again.

While pizza is, of course, the star of the show, Trieste Pizza offers a variety of other Italian classics to complement your meal. The pasta dishes are equally noteworthy, with options ranging from traditional spaghetti pomodoro to hearty lasagna. Pair your meal with a glass of wine from their curated list, featuring some of the finest Italian selections. Whether you prefer a crisp white to cut through the richness of the pizza or a robust red to enhance the flavor of a meat dish, there's something for everyone.

The ambiance of the restaurant also plays a significant role in making the dining experience memorable. The soft lighting, wooden tables, and warm décor create a cozy atmosphere that invites you to relax and savor each bite. Whether you're dining solo or with a group, Trieste Pizza offers a comfortable environment where you can enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.

It's no surprise that Trieste Pizza is becoming a local favorite, with numerous positive reviews on various platforms. Guests often highlight the freshness of the ingredients and the outstanding customer service. Many also appreciate the attention to detail, from the way the pizzas are presented to the small touches that elevate the dining experience.

In a city like Rome, where there’s no shortage of great restaurants, Trieste Pizza stands out not only for the quality of its food but also for the passion and expertise that the staff pours into every dish. It’s a place that offers more than just a meal; it provides a glimpse into the heart of Italian culinary traditions, all while giving you a memorable experience.

Whether you're a pizza connoisseur or simply looking for a great meal in the heart of Rome, Trieste Pizza is a must-visit spot that combines the best of Italian cuisine with a welcoming atmosphere.

Great find for pizza! Came across this pizzeria as we walked along the street, and the casual atmosphere with music caught our attention. The pizzaiolo Gianni that fronts the counter was friendly and gave us the menu to peruse. He also came by to ask if everything was alright during our meal. We ordered: 1) Mortadella Pistachio E Burrata Pizza - Burrata, mortadella and pistachio bits. 2) Carbonara Pizzq - Carbonara toppings - Mozarella, guanciale, pecorino cheese and black pepper. So much to love for this one. 3) Fegato and Cipolla Pizza - This was the best! It had steamed white onion, pork liver sausage, fried sweet pepper, Mozarella, chili pepper and rosemary. The pizza comes in small sized €2-5 (for 1) or large sized €8-25.50. We ordered 3 small sized ones so that we can try more flavors. We were all happy with our meal. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best pizza I've ever had! This place was INCREDIBLE from top to bottom. The staff is super friendly, super welcoming, funny, and you can tell that they love being there. The pizza itself was made to perfection every single time. The flavors were rich, the combinations were perfect, and each pie ypu order has the same exact crust, crisp and finish. Every bite I took had me closing my eyes and nodding my head in approval. I NEED to talk about the staff. They really make you feel like family. They'll talk to you and ask you where you're from. The answer you give them is the name they call out when your pizza is ready. Remember that in Rome, pizza is meant to be thin and crispy vs pizza from a place like Naples which is thick. Pizza was so good here that I even came back the next day. Do yourself a favor and check them out. Prices are cheap, the area where they're located isn't too far from the Colosseum, and the streets in the surrounding area are wonderful to walk around. Don't miss out!

Their pizza dough is so crispy and delicious. We came back 4 nights in a row. Do not skip the burrata e crudo, it's sooooo good. Prices are super cheap too. I would come back to Rome just for this pizza .

After trying a couple disappointing pizzas, eating here felt like ascending to heaven - this pizza achieved the tastes and textures and perfection I imagined when planning my trip to rome - standout pizzas were the Margarita and Burrata. Just an fyi all their pizzas can be made gluten free in a personal size and a subsection can be made in mini size but go earlier in the day because when we arrived around lunch time they had run out of gluten free pizza dough. Very affordable pricing. Toilet is clean but like many of the restrooms in Rome doesn’t have a seat so u have to squat.

I love this place. Always when I visit Rome I make time to come to this restaurant. I love all the pizzas that they offer but my favorite is the Burrata. The quality is really high and the atmosphere is awesome. Every person who works at the store is kind and they make you feel comfortable.

Gorgeous pizzas! We ordered small pizzas as we just wanted a light lunch and both pizzas, pictured below, were cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and also very funny! They had great posters with rules on the likes of ketchup, and pineapple on pizza! Could definitely recommend eating here.

Worth the long wait if you have the time. The pizza was delicious. I would recommend getting several small pies to try as many different flavor combinations as possible. Two small pizzas per person seems to be the right ratio. The order/pickup situation is a bit chaotic for takeout so I would recommend trying to get a table if you can.
